Today we can enjoy noodles in a cup in 3 minutes and the exhilaration of someone liking our photo the very second after we shoot and share it online.\u00a0 This has caused us to lose the art of patience and the ability to wait in a posture of expectation and peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">When I first read Psalm 37:7, which says, &#8220;Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him,&#8221; I discovered that the word &#8220;wait patiently&#8221; in the original Hebrew language is &#8220;Hul&#8221;. &#8220;Hul&#8221; in its root meaning is &#8220;to dance, to twist, to whirl in a spiral manner, to travail and wait longingly.&#8221; What an intriguing connection! In this word hides the idea of that we can dance in the waiting. Indeed, we can choose joy and peace while twirling and waiting on our LORD Yeshua to bring to pass the promises He has given.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I decided to use the Betta Fish as the subject of this series to always remind us of this truth as I have always been fascinated by its beauty and elegance when they twirl graciously in the waters. Whatever report you might receive from the doctors, the promises of His healing overrule the natural. If the average person eats 3 meals a day, surely we need to feed on the Word of God more than once a week on Sunday. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Worries and negative thoughts plague us day and night. It becomes so much a part of our lives that we learn to live with it. Every time I am worried, I feel all alone. Worries paralyse us, causing us not to think logically. But the Bible talks about what Jesus says \u201cdo not worry about tomorrow\u201d. What was Jesus looking at when He shared this? Was He looking at the birds in the air? What references did He refer to? He said look at the birds of the air&#8230; and in the land of Israel especially the Sea of Galilee, there are lots of small sparrows and most likely Jesus would have referred to a sparrow. From pursuing our dreams and establishing our career to chasing romance and finding intimate connections, we spend our lives in search for something that can quench this thirst, not knowing it is found only in the person of Yeshua Himself. I knew that if I needed new strength for my season, it is to wait upon Him and to wait for Him to act on my behalf.
