LIN,CHUN-HONG (1969-)
Glue-coloured paintings can be traced to prehistoric cave paintings dating back 15,000 years, such as Lascaux Cave in southwestern France.During the long Paleolithic period, the hunter-gatherer people wrote down history with paintings, using charcoal and earth, and carved the most realistic and primitive aspects of life on the cave walls. In the years of carelessness, but also left many beautiful marks, for aesthetics to open the prelude to inheritance, open the door to the world of colorful art.
Now we know glue-colour painting, has gone through 6,000 to 7,000 years of aesthetic evolution. From the Tang and Song Dynasties to the east of Japan, in the Meiji Restoration period in Japan, no matter from materials, techniques, ideas, forms have significant breakthroughs and changes.Although it is said that glue-colour painting originated in China, but essentially after more than a thousand years of Japanese development and change, and China’s Danching has been very different. After the Yuan Dynasty closed the academy, the fine ornate court paintings were replaced by literati paintings, and the 800-year-old literati’s collective consciousness inherited the feelings and styles of ink painting.
In the past hundred years, Chinese painting has also been under the influence of western culture such as Shuan Jianli, the traditional literati painting a revolution. After World War II, Japanese “Oriental Painting” in Taiwan was brought to Taiwan by Chinese painters who came with the Kuomintang government, and due to political reasons, the stage of “Oriental Painting” from Japan has been restricted.Professor Lin Chih-chih put forward the name “glue-coloured painting” in 1976 before gradually easing the controversy over its name, and it became widely accepted in the art world. The development of rubber-colour painting in Taiwan has led to the recruitment of professional rubber-colour teachers in many fine arts colleges and universities and colleges.
The process of self-exploration is inevitable, and there are still many unsolved problems in the world of gelatin, especially those involving technology, that can only be asked from various sources, or from the online world. This kind of learning style also brings them more fun and deep memories.
Over the past two years, as the amount of time spent at home increased, personal beliefs gradually merged into the subject and direction of painting.Through this exhibition, the public can better understand the expression of rubber-colored paintings, and through the paintings convey the vitality of nature and worldview. The important thing is how to express aesthetics properly through the medium of one’s choice, not only focusing on the characteristics of the medium itself, but also making the work more powerful and life-thick.
